Archery Leagues • Types & Rules

I

3D Leagues

Pick your class! You will be required to remain in this class for the duration of the league.

HUNTER CLASS

  • Stabilizer length of 12″ or less
  • No lens in your sight (peep sight lens is acceptable)
  • Arrow sizes 23/64″ & under (most hunting shafts fall within these limits, no fat shafts).

OPEN CLASS

  • No restrictions for sights, stabilizers, arrow diameters

General Rules for All 3D Leagues

General Rules for all 3D Leagues

  • No rangefinders
  • String peep clarifiers/verifiers are acceptable.
  • Moveable sights are acceptable
  • Back tension releases are acceptable
  • Illuminated nocks are acceptable – Lumenocks/Nocturnal Nocks/Tracer Nocks, etc. We are not responsible for broken/damaged nocks during competition.
  • Mixed Couples – refers to husband/wife, father/daughter, mother/son, etc.

Please note – children under the age of 18 will not be allowed in the big range nor the BowSim range after 5pm weeknights during the league season unless shooting with a parent/guardian. The Young Adult 3D League requires that each youth participant shoots with an adult.

SCORING

  • Animals have four Scoring Rings: 11-10–8–5
  • 20 target stations per week (2 arrows per target) – 2 people per each station. This will run as a double line even if the room is not full.
  • No substitute shooters unless pre-approved by management.
  • After the ten week league, the following week will be the tie-break week, called “Week 9”. The format for the tie-breaker will be determined by management.
  • Failure to put your full name on the scorecard may result in a score of zero for the week

WHO SCORES?

  • Everyone should try to shoot in collaboration with another person if at all possible. People should not to score for themselves. The scorer for each card needs to sign the bottom of the card at the end of each week.
  • If the arrow touches the line the arrow scores the higher value.
  • Wherever the arrow lands is where the arrow is scored.
  • PASS THROUGHS – bring this situation to an employee’s attention and we will deal with the issue. Pass throughs may be re-shot.
  • We will be dropping the lowest score in weeks 1 thru 4 and then set the flights.
  •  During the last 4 weeks, we will again drop the lowest score – after all the weeks have been shot. Final standings will be announced after Week 9.

MAKE-UPS

  • This is a ten week league. As noted above we will throw out two missed/lowest scoring weeks. New! You will be able to make up a missing weeks score, please notate on your score card which week you’d like to save. If the week is not made up – it will score as a zero. All leagues can be made up at any time prior to March 11, 2023. No make-up shooting will be allowed after league completion.

NO HANDICAPPING

  • Targets must be kept in line as originally set up by staff
  • NO BRUSH except pine trees – none will be in front of the bales as set up by staff
  • No rangefinders

BEER 

  • Beer will be available after 5:00 pm weeknights during the league season.
  • A Bartender will be available from 5pm – 7pm every weekday night. Beer will not be served after 7 pm weeknights

Women's 3D League

We have had an influx of women shooters over the past several years, so we thought it was time to give the women and opportunity to compete amongst themselves if they’d like!

All competitors will state a class designation as with the 3D league.

This class will remain the same throughout the 8 week league.

Scoring will remain the same as the standard 3D league (11-10-8-5).

Mixed Couples 3D League

There is no class designation in this league, whether you shoot compound or recurve all couples welcome! Scoring will remain the same as the standard 3D league (11-10-8-5).

Young Adult 3D League

  • Ages 13 through 17 may participate in this league with an adult.
  • This league will incorporate the same scoring structure as the standard 3D league.
  • The young adults in this league will compete amongst themselves, and will not have to comply with the class requirement of the adult 3D league.
  • The adults participating in this league will be required to select a class as they will have their scores entered into the standard 3D league.

Traditional Archery 3D League

  • This league will be shot exclusively with Recurve/Longbows!
  • Rules will follow the 3D/Mixed Couple Rules, except for the bows – only recurves or longbows will be allowed.
  • This league is shot from a closer distance during their specified time (Tuesdays from 6-7pm).
  • No sights, releases or non-traditional devices are allowed unless pre-approved by management.

Adult BowSim4D League

  • .The BowSim4D League is not a scored league. Each weekly session runs between 35-45 minutes.
  • Shoot with your friends for some friendly competition! We recommend 2-4 people can shoot at a time
  • Please sign up each week for the next week. All sign-ups are done through our online registration system. If you prefer the same time slot every week you can do that as well in the system for the entire league.

Youth BowSim4D League

  • The Youth BowSim4D League is for youth ages 8-17 and is a non-scoring fun league. The league format mirrors the adult BowSim4D League.
  • Each weekly session lasts roughly 35 – 45 minutes.
  • Shoot with your friends for some friendly competition! We recommend 2-4 people can shoot at a time
  • Please sign up each week for the next week. All sign-ups are done through our online registration system. If you prefer the same time slot every week you can do that as well in the system for the entire league.
