Due to the upcoming bowhunting season – we do not hold classes in August and September. We will resume classes again in October. Thank you for understanding.

Please Note: Each class registration closes two days prior to the start of class to allow for proper staffing. 

Intro to Archery

This introductory class will give you a solid understanding of the basics of archery. Whether you’re an aspiring Olympian or just looking for a new backyard family sport, this is your place to get started.

Archery 101 Class (all ages)

This is a four week instructor taught program for beginner archers designed to improve and refine the correct form and fundamentals of the sport. The goal is to get shooters grouping and scoring within the four week period, which will allow individuals to see and track progress as their time in the class continues. You will gain confidence, team building, interpersonal skills, and to establish a lifetime interest in the sport of archery. After completing the class all archers are welcome to join in specific leagues or to our JOAD archery program.

Archery 201 Class (all ages)

This program is for students who have previously taken the 101 class. We will begin to prepare you to shoot in tournaments and leagues with the confidence of a champion. Students will have the ability to earn achievement awards for mastering skills learned in the class.

USA Archery Club / Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD)

La Crosse Archery offers Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) for beginners, intermediate, or advanced archers to learn and practice the sport over a series of classes, or advance as far as their dreams will take them!

 

JOAD is for youth 8 – 17 years of age, You are encouraged to have completed an Archery 101 class, but is not required. You must have your own equipment for JOAD as no rentals are available. You must be a member of USA Archery to receive Scoring Pins Click here to become a member of USA Archery!

Adult Archery Achievement Program

The Adult Archery Achievement Program (AAA) is a program that allows adults to learn proper shooting technique, achieve awards based on score and pursue competition if they wish. Membership in AAA  provides unique benefits to adults, including the opportunity to make new friends, a great upper body workout, and the chance to build self-confidence, and learn team-building skills. Explore Bowhunting

This class is geared toward first time bowhunters who want to learn concepts like animal scouting, observing animal sign, understanding scent control and other necessary hunting skills. For more information or to reserve a spot, email archeryacademy@lacrossearchery.com.

 

 


Onalaska Park & Rec Archery Programs

This summer La Crosse Archery will be teaming up with the City of Onalaska Park & Rec Department to offer Archery Classes for six 4 week sessions.  Onalaska Park & Rec 4 week sessions for shooters over the age of 8. These classes are held at La Crosse Archery and taught by La Crosse Archery staff. La Crosse County 4H Shooting Sports

The 4-H Archery & Pellet Gun program is typically held from January through March on alternating Saturday mornings.  The overall focus of the program is the development of youth as individuals AND as productive, responsible citizens. This program is taught by caring, certified adults in a positive, safe learning environment. Safety will be emphasized and all youth will participate in a safety session at the start of the first session. Classes are typically held at La Crosse Archery (1231 Oak Forest Dr, Onalaska).

2017 Archery and Pellet Gun Program

The program will run the following Saturdays: January 14, 28; February 11, 25; March 11, 25;
and the Invitational will be April 7-8, 2017 (registration for this forthcoming).
Members must be in at least 3rd grade to sign up.

 

Home School Archery Groups

From your very first class at La Crosse Archery Academy, you will begin developing your shooting form and learning to group arrows. Our knowledgeable instructors will work with you to instill the basics of archery and to develop your confidence and competence on the range, creating a solid foundation of knowledge and skill that will allow you to progress in this exciting sport. Archery is an ideal sport for even the youngest competitors, as it provides opportunities for growth, achievement and camaraderie. Boys and girls will develop upper body strength in an active, supportive environment that fosters social skills and provides training in a sport they can enjoy throughout their lives.   • 1 Day to make up missed classes at end of sessions

Important: After registering online you will receive an email confirmation from La Crosse Archery. This will serve as your registration. Please bring this to the first class.
